Ac110 basket is climbing out

Hi guys.
I bought my first Ac110 a while back.its a great filter.

recently its basket started climbing out.
its seems the side opposite to the pump has a small peace of plastic where the basket clips into and it seem it is not protruding far enought to stop the basket from rising on the one side.

please help.

yeah keep your sponge clean when it gets dirty it inflates in size and pushes up

I just use filter floss in mine. So I've never had that problem, interesting.

I agree-but make sure it's actually clipped in. There is a little straight piece of plastic that the actual basket fits in to inside. If its not seated right or that plastic wears or breaks they pop up again. In that case,just get creative and wedge it in with something that wont hurt anything like a pen cap or something

Check the settling chamber below the basket, too. When that gums up the bottom of the basket it starts to float & replacing sponges wont help. Just lift the basket out & dump the gunk out of the filter box.

Heh. I just remove the lids and stick huge rocks on top of the sponges.

properly maintain it and this won't happen.
