I was trying to move my ac110 this morning and it was still full of water and upon me moving it and putting pressure on the sides, one of the sides broke off and water started goin everywhere.

Can I use weld on to glue it back together since it is made out of plastic or epoxy?

Didnt know something so expensive is built so brittle and cheap.

You should be able to buy a 2 part epoxy which will work to fix it... How in the hell you broke it though... I'll never know unless you lifted it from the side wall instead of underneather. It's not exactly like AquaClear designed them for being moved full of water...

Either it was defective, had a small crack already, or was mishandled. I have about 8 AC 110s and have used them for many years with no cracking. In fact, I was trying to put one on my 90 and accidently dropped it 5 ft. to the carpeted floor below. It was unharmed.

I have carried my ac110 upstairs full of water and never had any problems. must have been defective or mishandled.

I dropped my first AC110 when I took it out of the box. It landed funny on the corner of the return and put a crack from the edge through the corner and into the main chamber. At the time I didn't really know anything about silicone or epoxy so I just used a ton of superglue on each side. I had to redo it about a year later when I moved it and torqued it a bit, but it's still running just fine now, 3 years later.

If I had to do it again I'd look into getting a better adhesive though.

I think we have all been able to agree that the only way for a AC110 to be broken is if it was mishandled...

As I said before get the 2 part epoxy (comes in a double barrel syringe) if done properly the crack will be stronger than the rest of the casing

Yea it was mishandled. I tried to get a grip on it by grabbing the side and i bent the side and broke off part of the side.

I dropped an ac20 out a 2nd story window, about 15 feet, onto a hard concrete driveway and the only thing that changed were a few little scratches... Pretty hard stuff.

The dollar store around here sells the 2 part also, cheap and great for little things like this.
