B-4 going to buy online - anyone tried substituting the sponge, carbon, biomax media? I presume with beneficial bacteria & my consistent Am readings I don't need this media nor zeo-carb.
I do have a box of carbon & ammo-carb so I would think I could create my own sacks to use as new inserts (old woman's hosiery).
So what do you suggest for sponge replacement?
Also, I have heard of scrubbies being used. can someone further explain how? could this be the sponge replacment? but have to use 3-6 pcs right?
