Hi there, can anyone suggest how I can either get just an extension tube or a DIY? mine is in a 72gal BF so the intake tube is the standard size & only goes down a 1/3 of the depth.

thks all

Your AC110 should have come with an extra tube that slides over the other one. If not, you're gonna have to shell out the $5.

I used a short length of 3/4" PVC to extend mine. You need a 3/4" PVC slip coupling to go over the J-tube of the AC 110 and then use some teflon tape wrapped around the 3/4" PVC pipe to connect the strainer section. Paint the PVC if you want.

Here's my extension. Keeps the bottom super clean.
3/4" slip connector / 90 degree elbow / cap

Nice work! I like how you got the holes drilled looks magnificent. If I may comment it would look sweet painted to the background color. Nice Aro's too im impressed! :headbang2:headbang2:headbang2

Im gonna extend mine down as well I feel like with only one adapter its kind of circulating the same water it just filtered. I do have my fluval 405 outlet blasting sideways through the flow though :)

thks, looks great. I am thinking of putting in a 3way (left right & toward the front). will let you all know if I succeed. thks again!

The only reason I do not paint my PVC is because I find it peels easily when cleaning algae. Not as clean a look but my tanks are bare, just fish and water.
