AC110 is Noisy

I have a AC 110 that is still making a lot of noise. I replaced the impeller and the impeller shaft, yet it still is making a loud vibrating noise.

I use the filter with a sand bottom, but I use a sponge pre-filter on the intake. Apparently the previous owner dropped the filter, but I was under the impression that it was magnetically driven, and had no other moving parts besides the shaft and impeller.

Any thoughts? How do I know if I put the impeller shaft in far enough?

Even though you have a pre filter I'd still take the whole filter off the tank and clean it out. Small particles of sand can still get into the filter and make a annoying sound in the impeller area. Clean the impeller out very well and try to position the intake higher in the tank to limit the chance of gettin sand in it. Well that's what happened to me. Good Luck!
