I did a water change on my qt tank last night i have 2 sick parrots :( As always I unplugged my 2 ac 110's on my 72 bow did my water change, added water to the ac 110's etc... everything as normal went to plug them back in and neither one would start. the outlet is good it has a strip going to the light heater etc... which is still working ... thoughts ? ideas? fixes? Putting an old fx5 with scrapped together media on the tank for now.

Did you take apart the pump and make sure the impeller is clear? I have had issues like this and somes sand can build up in the impeller and cause it to jam. Not sure if that's it since both stopped at the same time, but it is worth a shot.

As stated above, you probably have to clean out the impeller. It should restart after cleaning. If not, give the impeller a spin with your finger or some other object.

As others have said, take out the impeller, and give it a really good rinse in the motor housing and the impeller itself. Just today, I had to do this with one of mine that I bought used. It had a bunch of sand or something grainy like that stuck in there preventing it from budging. If you can give the impeller a bit of a push and it rebounds and wiggles a little bit, then it should probably work.
