ok thank you. I just wanted to double check before I bought a few of them. Maybe I will pickup 3 of them. one for 30 gallon and 2 for 75

now an AC110 IS overkill on a 30 IMO. I use the AC70's for that size tank.

An AC110 will adiquately filter a 75g tank, even if it is stocked a little on the heavy side. There is a drawback to running only a single filter. If it were to fail, you will be left with an unfiltered tank. Redundant filters is always a good idea, how much you want to spend is your choice.

despite what some others say, go for two.

1) they're not big power hogs
2) you're not going to hurt the fish over filtering
3) back-ups have saved wipe outs

I agree with everyone else, 2 AC110s will be great for your 75.
