ac110 sponge keeps floating up.

the sponge keeps floating up and lifting up all the bio media out of the water and opening up the top of the filter. it's super annoying. i'm sure it's happened to some of you guys. how should i stop this?

the only time mine ever do that is when the spong needs to be cleaned .with mine thats about once a week if not more

oh ok, i guess that makes sense. with the crap building up the water cant flow through it and pushes it up.

That's been my experience. It floats when it needs cleaned.

yup that fixed it. thanks guys. i just got it a few weeks ago so this has never happened before.

Putting something heavy on the lid also fixes it. Although cleaning the filter is probably better for tank health.
