heres my idea/plan. Im running a 30 gallon wet/dry and a eheim 2226. What i want to is get rid of the wet/dry and eheim and run 2 AC110's on my 90 gallon. I would just run the sponge in each one and 2 of the ceramic ring bags or some cintered glass i have. whachya think?

reasoning, for simplicity and ease of cleaning.! any suggestions would be great thanks. I know id have to transfer BB and what not.(i know the deal with that).

2 Aqua Clear 110's will be more than enough for a 90, if set up with cintered glass or the bio-max that comes with them and a sponge in each. Not sure why you want to get rid of the sump / canister, but that really does not matter, the 110's will filter the crap out of the 90 gal tank. I would recommend 2 extensions on the 110's to get the intake as low as possible.

the AC110's will require more maintenance then the W/D and the Canister, they will need no less then bi-weekly cleaning. I would recommend keeping the W/D and the Canister...

Thanks guys for your opinions. I think im going to leave the wet/dry and run 1 of the ac110's, ill run both if i can fit them, i dont think so. will see. Every tank iv came across that is running an or two AC110s were crystal clear!

Yeah, you need to clean the sponges at least every 2 weeks. I pull mine every weekend for cleaning and you would be surprised how dirty they can get in 1 week.

but that is GOOD that means there working. if they didnt get dirty they wouldnt be doing what there supposed to, lol.

easier then cleaning a canister filter IMO. i hope they will both fit. Im trading the eheim 2226 for the 2 AC110s

thanks for the opinions/suggestions

Well i have the 2 AC110s running and i still have the 30 gallon wet/dry going, this tank is officially filtered. Those aqua clears work great. they cleared the water up better then the eheim or rena

I never would of thought you could fit so much stuff on the back of a 4 ft. tank, lol.
