ac50 needs a motor

Newbie to the forum but I can already say I love this place and have already learned a lot.

I have an aquaclear 50 that the motor must of broke when i had my tank set up(4-5 years ago). not sure what happened with it as I was young and I probably just threw it out.

But now I would like to start a 10g or 20g and would like to know if there is any place I could buy or order a new motor for this filter

Also would the new motor come with a impeller or would that also need to be purchased as well?

You acn also go to BigAlsonline or Thatfishplace and compare prices. I purchased from bigals I know it came with the shaft but i don't think it had the impeller.

I have beed doing some researching and found that a replacement motor does not come with an impeller (which i need as well)

it seems it would just be a better idea to buy a new filter

motor $16
impeller $10
foam $4
biomax $5
carbon $7

total 42 plus shipping for motor and impeller

new ac50 $40ish

looks like I will just buy a new filter as it comes with all the media

this is what i get for breaking it as beginner
