I have an 2 AC500s on my 140 i have them both filled with ehiem substrate!
I pieced together rena filstars in a row of like 10 and got 2 rows of these filstars half in the water and half out of the water about 20 on each AC they are lined up to meet the water coming out of the ACs. Would you say this is awesome wet dry at its finest and my filstars will get a huge colony of bacteria!
or am i missing something altogether

basically i made a wall with rena filstars where the water flows out of the AC. So the water before going in the tank has contact with filstars by rena like bioballs they hold a massive amount of bacteria. Just when they are submerged in total water with no air you dont get as many bacteria. So since now i have them lined up on each AC water passes them and since half of the filstar is in the water and the other half is above water i was thinking they would get a massive amount of bacteria.
