Yup...my AC 70 took a dump..i had it on my 55g..the motor keeps making this loud errrr noise, so i cleaned it out, checked if the propeller was hitting the plastic...NOPE nothing i could find and also the propeller is somewhat hard to turn.......now I have no filter for the 55g and I dont get paid until friday....so now i must buy a filter and Im not getting another AC70....what filter should i invest my money into?

yea fish all our there....i think sand got sucked up into the motor..rena xp3? how is the maintenance on it? i want a filter that i wont have to do alot of maintenance on...something like once a month type deal...
only have to maintain it once every other month or so.

Alot will have to do with what media you use and how they are setup, not to mention amount and type of fish you stock. I regularly maintain my xp3s every other month with no reduction in flow. They are not solitary filters though.
well this is what i did....I took the motor off my AC 30 and put on the ac70 an then swapped the propellars and now it is working like new.....cause the ac30 had the same motor as the ac70 but different propellars....cool hu!.......but yea i am still gonna buy a new filter cause im just gonna leave that ac70 on the 30g tank.....55g tank will just have a green terror and a convict....rena xp series? low maintanance, i gotta look more into this
