More to follow.

This was probably the most photographed fish in the show. There always seemed to be someone in front of this tank with a camera. I only took 2 photos of this fish and this is the best one. This was a public fish show and I wanted to show how difficult it can be to get a good shot, so I did not use Photoshop on this photo, except to convert from RAW to JPEG (and resize for the web) . There are water spots, micro bubbles, reflections and all other sorts of things wrong with this photo. This is an instance where Photoshop may need to be used more than we would like. With enough time (and luck) I might have been able to position the flash so as to avoid the reflection, but it is hard to do with people breathing down your neck. I had tried to shoot the show entirely with my manual focus lenses, but had to relent when I needed to use one hand to hold the flash over the open top tank and shoot with the other. I should of stayed closer to Bobby and picked up a few more pointers, he is a very good photographer!

The Aulonocara Lwanda is one of the most interesting African Peacocks to shoot in the aquarium. Many of you may remember the numerous photos of my favorite peacock I posted many times here. Sometimes the flash captures the blues, other times its the purples, and then there is the oranges. The A. Lwanda is a beautiful peacock that displays different colors depending on the mood and the flash.;)

Same fish at the show with the flash and fish positioned differently...

Nice pics, and yes, I photographed that fish to death too lol. Pretty irresistable. Off topic but do you guys know of a link that shows the names of all the winners?

Hopefully they will post them up soon.
They may also be waiting so they can list them in the next issue of the BB.

If I see them anywhere I will link to them.

They ARE waiting until they have all the photos for the BB before posting on the web site officially. I was contacted for some photos to be used in the BB and asked not to post them until it is published.
