Are any of us pike people attending? I know you are mtn pike. What is this shindig really like? I can totally go for a day or two, but Id like to know if any of the ''crenicichla crew'' will be there and what to expect. I mean it sounds cool to me.

Can't make it from Missouri. But I would love to as I have never attended anything like that where fish are concerned. Have for reptiles. I don't know if they have them around here, they probably do

Is it a cichlid swap meet more or less? Could I possibly find certain pikes that Ive been looking for there for sale? Might I run into the likes of say, Vinny Kutty?
i believe they had an aca in st louis a few years back mid 90s maybe it didnt go well and i dont think they will ever have one here again best we can hope for is prolly chicago. most people i have talked to say there isnt a whole lot of pikes there are some sa and ca but they act like its african heavy however they said it was a ball and would def go back
if it was in southern cali or closer to LA could have stayed with fam but Sac is too far.

YO ROB ~ Yeah, we'll be there - bout a 1200 mile drive from Colorado. Should arrive 6-8 pm Th, July 19. Could anyone meet us in the show room to

Pikes to Chicago last year, bringin 5-6 this year, plus 10-15 other show fish.
This'll be our 4th ACA, the people are great, talks worthwhile (Oliver/Below Water has one on SA cichlids), the show fish are incredible - 650 last year.
Also some nice fish for sale in the rental tank room, Jeff Rapps always brings a couple types pikes + other nice fish. They judge fish Friday nite, announce winners @ the banquet dinner Sat nite, and have the auction on Sunday.
Vinny Kutty will be there, plus people from Europe, Asia, etc... It's a great time with the focus on Cichlids - all kinds... Ad Konings, Wayne Leibel, Juan Miguel Artigas-Azas & Dr. Loiselle were there last year! among others... Ken Davis, Mo Devlin, Chuck Rambo. Def a fun time and the chance to see people from all over the world who love cichlids!

Almost forgot to mention my wife, Dan Ye ~ she deserves all the credit for our SHOWFISH!!! Her energy & enthusiasm has to be admired! She feeds them (I throw in feeders to the Pikes..hey-hey), cleans the tanks (I help - usually the 'bucket boy'), medicates the sick fish, and takes care of the breeders. We'll be stayin in the hotel Thursday - Sat, packin up our showfish ( & trophies??) Sunday morning and leaving. Would really like to meet some of you guys, please look us up!!!
I think that myself and a buddy of mine are gonna fly up there for at least a day, prob 2. It sounds pretty cool plus its relatively close to me and shouldnt cost much $. Dont know which days though, but you know Ill be looking you up. Ill PM you when I know for sure whats going on. Thanks for the info. Anyone else going?
