Acanthicus Adonis and Hydrocynus Vittatus

as far as the water parameters ill let a more expierenced pleco owner answer ( however i think it will be fine)
 
My Adonis did very well up until he got to be a foot in size.. then he got pushy with the common pleco about the same size..not mean but pushy and stressed the other guy so i moved him out..Adonis do grow large but it does take awhile ..mine is 13 inches in almost 2 years and eats great..
 
the bigger the better. i must get one of these. here is a list of my favorite fishes:

goliath african tigerfish
manuelli's piranha
high-back Peruvian black Rhombeus
sting rays
adonis
piraya
red throat sanchezi
 
I wouldn't put that adonis in with any of those P's or the rays. I've never kept the remaining fish together so I don't know how much attention they would pay to the pleco. If a fish like a GATF or a big real tail wanted to get to your adonis then it will. Like we said in the other thread, his "armor" is not going to save him.

hmm, but a small gatf (5-10") and a medium size adonis (8-12") might work?
 
Yea i just picked up an Adonis and he is gorgeous thing that sux is that he's only in a 150g i got a common in there with him but thats all ima have as bottom feeders go. He's only about 5inchs right now and my scribble is like 10+

Personally I just love plecos but gotta have the room and the filtering down. G/L lovely monster!!! :headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2
