came home to a filter intake covered in eggs last night.
Should I move the Intake from the filter? I have another one. I am afraid they will freak and eat the eggs however. These two have tried 3 times and momma always gets nervous and eats em.

Take it out happened to me like 6 times with my cichlids. I didn't care if they bred since I had no room anymore but chances are high they will hatch if you take it out and put it in another tank
Good luck next time, but I've seen breeders place a stone vertical withe 15degrees angle against the wall of the tank and the remove soon after parents were done with the laying process.

Ive tried to give em slate several times this pair always goes for a filter Intake. but thats fine I have a couple spares (my dempsey would knock em off when he was hungry cus I would come running when the filter started screaming... was always afraid he would break one) So I will set up a bare bottom 20 gallon under one of the tanks with a sponge filter and a pleco to keep some BB going and just take out the pleco when I move eggs there.
