6 WC baby Acarichthys heckelii growing like weeds....What a difference a month makes....

3/11/09 the day I got them fro Grey (wetspotcx):

4/11/09 a month later:

A month and a lot of food by the looks of things.

Nice finnage at that size, so they should come up nice and clean as adults, although I'd probably cut back on the feeding a little.

That is a lot of growth in a month! Seems like more than even my biggest orangeheads got. What did you feed them?

I really need to get a shoal of these guys at some point.

I feed them twice a day. Crushed Omega One shrimp pellets, Ocean Nutrient Vegi pellets and Hikira Bio Gold pellets mixed together for breakfast, and frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp for dinner. Just found out over the weekend that they were already able to eat whole shrimp pellets - no more crushing pellets

They are in a 55g with the OH babies but grow a lot faster. A couple of quick pics of their tank mates....see how much fatter they are

nice pics...whats their adult size? im thinking of getting 1 or 2 but im getting conflicting info about how large they will be when fully grown

They are supposed to be mid size....probably max out at 8" but obviously I don't have any personal experience

I have personally seen 12" SL ones, but those are rare. 8-10" seems more common. But they are bulky compared to other Geo types.
