Acarichthys heckelii help

I've had this guy for a while now but have been out of town for the last few days and when I came home I noticed this on him. What is it and how do I treat it?

I had something similar in a fish I had just gotten and had in quarantine. Hadn't seen anything quite like it before, thought it might be lymph but after about a week it disappeared and left a big hole that looked like HITH. I just ended up culling it because I was going out of town for three weeks.

I hope that is all it is. I've had him since mid April and has always been fine. He swims and eats normally and my water is good. Since I had been out of town, I did a 50% water change the day I left and the day I got back. I'm hoping its not Popeye or something similar.
