Its kinda dull here in Holland because of easter,
so I thought I'd post some pics of my Heckelii male:







Anyone got a mature female, somewhere around central Holland?
And maybe also an adult female Saxatilis?

from the picture, the sax looks male btw females will have a white strip on their dorsal followed by a black one as well as a very pink belly

Not sure whether a mature female addition would be a good idea. I'd say there's a pretty reasonable chance that they won't be ultimately compatible, and without an suitable spawning site (which is extensive to develop), the male might target the female.

Very nice A. heckelii though, good colouring through the rear of the head.

I like the strong yellow coloration too. I miss my heckelii, I used to keep a group of them with a saxatilis type pike as well (female though). Great combination of fish IMO.

Looks like you have some nice tanks in the background too, care to share?

Thenx! Uh, I asked for a female, to accompany my male.
And thenx y'all!
He's 9".
I have many tanks and would give a couple of Heckels a tank
of their own. 8" fine sand to dig in.
Imagine a spawning.

And my tanks you can find here at C&SA cichlids, called: 'My Oscars'.
The tanks in the back are above the 35g with Saps and Yucatan Mollies,
Laetacara Dorsigera, etc.
And the bottom tank is my 40g Indonesian tank with my
Channa Bleheri Blue male, Loaches, Catfishes, Paradise fishes, etc.
My latest is a Fahaka, who grows like there's no tomorrow!

As ps: On the first pic you see the tail of one of the two BGKs.
