I have a thread based on my experience changing this tanks substrate from gravel to sand. It is a 36g tank that fits just perfectly in the the space--almost as if it were made for it. I gave myself just enough room to just barely change the filters on the hang on the BACK of the tank, (whisper and aqauclear) filters. You know, the part you CAN NOT GET TO in a built in! Well you guessed it, my earthmovers kicked up some sand, got sucked up it the filter and stopped the impeller. After only 10 days of sandly bliss, I had to empty the tank, drill a hole in the cabinet and I now have a fluval404 canister underneath, totally accessible. ....just in case I ever actually have to do filter maintenance again.:irked: What was I thinking?

Off subject, but I love the looks of your tank.
Where'd you stash the heater?

Oh, and I've done the same thing...set up tanks and then found out I couldn't reach the filters.:irked:

But it's a 210. I didn't plan ahead. I upgraded my filters and added a few AC 110s. Well; that was the plan. I have the tank too close to the wall, and I don't think I'm going to lower the water that much to the point where I'll be able to move it and inch or 2 out from the wall.

So I got a Rena XP3, and another FX5. :D
