My 2.5 inch spanner barb go stuck in the bottom stalks of my plastic plant and could not free himself and died, I was able to free him but he was stuck I think about 18 hours in the plastic plant stalks near where they start, come out of the base. Anyone have a problem like this before ever????????????????????///

I have lost 3 barbs to strange things this. First barb got stuck in the intake on the power head, I freed him came back and hour later and there he was stuck again this time dead.

So I moved the intake all the way against the glass, and another dumb barb forced his way inbetween the the glass and the intake. So I took out all the barbs and put them in another tank, and one jumped out through the opening for the retrun pipe.

I will never understand how they can be so silly.

Sorry for your loss, but some fish are just born with the STUUUUUUUUUUPID gene!

brcacti- I've never had that happen to me since I don't use plastic plants. I have seen it in petsmart though- a goldfish wedged himself into a plastic plant they had in the tank and was unable to get out.
