Acclimating from 7.7ph to 6.8ph

You could do a drip but it isn't as drastic as you think. Your fish should be fine.
 
Each 10th down in the pH scale is 10 Xs more acidic, so 7.7 down to 6.8 is 90Xs more acidic.
Many fish in nature handle this drop due to rain storms etc regularly.
I would put the fish in a container with an air stone, and add the water from the tank its going in gradually, just to be safe.
