Acclimating Hoplarchus Psittacus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
large bucket... fill with water that came with the fish, get some airline tubing, put one end in the tank and suck on the other end to get a siphon going, put opp. end into the bucket and let the water flow for about 20 min or so. you can use bag clips to slow down the flow too

The biggest question is if the fish is being shipped or not? That changes your approach all together IMO... Your biggest advantage will be testing the PH of the water the fish comes in the bag with and your tank. The closer the perams, the sooner you will be able to introduce the fish to the aquarium, the farther the PH gap is, the longer you should drip.

Hoplarchus Psittacus is a beautiful SA cichlid and and very cool fish BTW, you have nice taste. ;)
