Acclimating mangroves

How would i go about acclimating a pair of red mangroves from saltwater to brackish?
How long would it take?

to my knowlege they can't.. they need to start off in whatever water you plan to keep it in

I keep "Red Mangroves" in my sump Jeox! Having said that, they have always lived in a Marine system. But I do have pals that have keep them in both "Freshwater" and "Brackish" water. I understand they are very hardy, and can "assimilate" to any water conditions, almost immediately.
