ACCLIMATION FRESH WILD CAUGHT

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've found small flowers to be slower to switch over to dead/frozen food than most rays. I'd give them at least a month or more until they have recovered their full appetite.
Once they do switch over though they can hold their own pretty well with most rays.

Any good advice and tips on converting Flowers to dead/fozen food?
They are known to be extremely picky eaters.. and really lazy about it too...
Sometimes live feeders also have problems fed to them...

Its like... the feeder must go to the flower Ray rather than the ray hunt for the feeder...

I release my rays out of Q when they are fat, and eating shrimps aggressively. In other words, if i think they can hold their own with the general population, then to me they are fully acclimated. It can take a week to a month, depending on the ray or the condition i got it in.

Should he treat them for internal/external parasites?? And how long can they go without eating??

That ray dealer shouldve done that already . A healthy ray can go a few days without eating. A newly imported one shouldnt be starved. Any food it will eat should be provided for asap.
