After a few hours of reading, and a nightmare about mathematics, I was sure that acclimating a 75 gallon to brackish water (with fish) was going to be a real pain in the ***.
Here's the most simple formula I've found thus far:
1. Remove 2 cups of cycled tank water from tank
2. Add a teaspoon of "marine salt" mix to the 2 cups of water
3. Stir very well for about five minutes
4. Pour the mixture back into tank
5. Repeat daily
I'm confident that this method will not harm the bacteria, nor will it harm the fish (two Columbian Shark Catfish). It should be a nice, SLOW acclimation. Nevertheless, your opinions are important to me and I DO NOT want to take an easier route and end up with unhealthy/unhappy water/fish. Replacement water for 20% water changes will be 10% brackish as well. Which, in hindsight, is going to be an unavoidable pain in the ***!!
