Does this help?

Only when there small, hard to float a bag with a 12" plus fish in it, let alone one that 30".

I use a plastic rubbermaid container or a coleman cooler in the 20 to 30 gallon range. Fill the container with tank water about 10 gallons(could be more or less depending on fish size) then add the aro to the container.
Once you have the container next to the new tank, use 1/4 inch air line to siphon water from the new tank into the container. Once the container is full I siphon out half the water(with a regular siphon hose) and then fillit again with the 1/4 inch line, after filled for the second time I then moved the aro into the new tank.

This method hsa worked for me on 4 transfers, but the pH has always been the same in both tanks. If you have a wide varience between pH levels you may want to slow the water flow in the 1/4 inch line and fill the container more then twice.

I agree this method will work on fishes which can fix into the biggest plastic bag it can hold only.:)
