My friend has some 6-8 inch goldfish that he has kept indoors during the colder months. He recently set up his pond, does not use a heater, I do not have the temp at the moment ill get that from him, but how long would you keep the goldfish in the rubbermaid tub? They got pretty big so he put them into a tank that was set at 78 degrees and they have been in that for 5 or 6 months. Would it be ok to just take them out of the tank, toss them into the tub and leave them for a day or two with a filter and airstone? They right into pond? Thanks

Ya. Except that that is probably like a 30 degreee drop at the moment. My question is about just that, how quickly can the temperature change for them while not shocking them to death
I would leave them inside until it warms up a little more. I would say they can handle a 20 drop. Here in texas my GF's mom's pond goes from 100 to 50 day to night temp drop. Its really up to you.
