Hi guys I'm pissed off...

I'm trying to break my aces to non-live food. 2 weeks without feeders.

Result: My 10 inches yellow tail et one of my red tails (5 inches). The yellow tail is almost exploding right now...

****!:duh:

D.

are you using teacher fish? right now i have 4 yellowtails and a smaller red tail and a red tail payara. biggest yellow is right around 11-12" with the red tail being about 6". they have all been eating pellets for the last month or two. i had a bacterial infection problem that killed a couple of my yellows and a red tail but with some EM i fixed that problem. i used a big flagtail as a teacher fish. they have to suck at the massivore pellets so the cudas clearly see him eating. the longest mine took to break was 5 days.

I have a group of three yellows and one red. My group was surprisingly easy to break. I stopped feeding live right away. I did cut up silversides which they mostly took to quickly. Once they were hitting the silversides I started throwing in Hikari food sticks and most of them pretty quickly started transitioning themselves.

Hi Tgroen. No techer fishes yet. I can't find a decent size chalceus to help me. Tinfoil barbs and other omnivores fishes can eat my estimated plants...so I can´t risk.

Thats amazing Charney....sadly I'm not so lucky as you

I told charney to cut up the silversides first,, try that

Yep try silversides, smelt, cut fish filet, have a go at some teacher fish, find a predator that already munches pellet, you mentioned dorado are farmed there? Are they raised on pellet? Feel like that would make a good teacher if you can find an appropriatly sized one
