Listed on wetspots stock list. Is this the the one (red tail barracuda) that stays under 12 inches ? If so how are they with tank mates ? Difficult to get on chopped fish and possibly pellets ?

Tankmates would be a large pearsei cichlid and polyoterus

Most reds will get 8 inches. Can't really ID them properly. They are fine with tankmates. It small tetras and rosy reds that'll be an issue.

Not to difficult to get on pellets or tilapia. But will have to starve a bit.

They will need to be qt'd notorious for getting ick.

Lower jaws can make them a snack as they're as beefy as chalceus or some other barbs.

Should be ok with pearsi.

Agreed. Will be a snack for lower jaws if indeed a red tail, if yellow tail, they still grow slow, probably wouldn't wanna mix till 10"+ so it can have some size. Not aggressive just predatory. Also will like the company of more cudas.
