Since i dont know which subforum i need to go for asking stuff about acipenser, so perhaps there is actually someone here that have acipenser ruthenus (sterlet)?.

I have 0 experience of keeping acipenser, so i hope someone who actually owns it (not just by reading over the internet) can enlighten me about the care of this magnificent fish.

So i just got my albino sterlet.
Other than it requires a really oxygenated water what else should i know?.. until what size i keep feeding him frozen bloodworm, and what is the next diet for sub adult sterlet?

Currently i keep him alone in the 75 gal tank.
no worries about tank size, later on he can go to 300gal, 665 gal or even my 6,600 gal.. just need to keep him alive while i learn how to care of him..

Thx a lot!!

A quick Google search comes up with tons of stuff on this fish. I think it would be beneficial for you to swat up on this info, you know, basic dos and donts. Although it's not too rare a fish I doubt many people keep them because of the size they get to so coming straight to the forum for info might not answer all your questions.

it is sterlet (acipenser ruthenus), they only get to 60-100cm big, it is not the gigantic acipenser sturgeon you might think of.

did the researches, but most of them are telling the same things. i wanna know from someone who actually owns/owned it. what did work and what didnt

I think Oddball Oddball had one back in the day?

I think the section titled "other monster fish" is what was intended for such species.
