Ok so I got my hatchling Ackie in the mail this morning and I got back from school about an hour ago and cleaned the tank a bit and noticed the humidity was slowing decreasing from 60% to 50% which I know it needs to be between those two but it kept dropping. I have him in a 10g for the hatchling stage with a screen lid that I covered with a towel. But anyways I sprayed the tank about thirty minutes ago and now the humidity is at 40%. That makes no since to me and I would like some clarification as to why this is happening. I'm using sand as substrate for now and I have the basking temps at 131 but I'm turning it down to 120-123. Is the tank too hot since the tank is so small and the lamp is heating the entire tank to that or something? I just don't understand why the humidity was higher when I had not sprayed it. I have him in my garage which stays at a steady 84-84 degrees F at day time and about 81 at night since I live in Florida. I really need some help and I would greatly appreciate it.
