There's gravel under the sand. All smooth and the shape/size of hikari arowana pellets.

My rays are better fed than I am. Haha. Way er changes have been pretty epic the past few weeks due to the grey one bing far too thin. I never let the nitrate get above 5 so it couldn't have been better for them these past few weeks and the tan one sure seems to appreciate it. Think a drip system is in order though as I won't always have this much time to spend on them for that sort of thing.

Drip system is a very good idea. That or a valve connected to a drain for easy evacuation and a top up system. What ever makes the experience easier and less time consuming to allow for more pleasure watching the fish.

Drip is fantastic, i use a HMA filter which i get from devotedly discus.

I believe T1 uses one from Collins water or something similar to that name, not sure if they work out cheaper for you but both will do the job.
