Mile High in Northern AZ, baby!~
I got this crayfish about 6 weeks ago.
At first it was a spooky little dude, hardly ever saw it...

It recently molted, and ever since it's new shell hardened up, it has become the most active acrobatic creature I have ever seen in a tank...

After he patrols the entire perimeter of the bottom, he climbs the foam on the powerhead, hangs his claws in the fast current for a few, then dives off, gliding in the current, halfway across the front of the tank!
The trippy thing is he'll do this like 50 times a day.
Anybody else have a nutty Cray like that?...

I'll post a vid of this on you-tube as soon as I get another batch of DVD's to record on.

My cray jumps off of stuff all the time. But what is really cool is when he climbs the plants and eats flake food off the surface. I have to give him an algae wafer if I want the fish to be able to eat in peace.

lol cant wait to see the video

let me know when u post it

My yabbie was like that. She would cruise around all the time and stop in front of the glass to "wave" if someone was infront of the tank.

Sounds like he is trying to escape!

My crayfish is older and mostly sticks to the bottom, but he used to love climbing the filter intake and trying to climb out. Make sure you have a tight lid!
