Does it get cheaper than an arm and two legs to get supplies to build my own????

If so where ????

Im building my own tank, Glass, and i got a quote from my fish place and they quoted me 2500+ for the tank I wanted. I have called around to a couple of places and have got the price down to $865.00. I think thats a bit of a saving. Aside from all that I am getting a free sheet of temperd glass (6x4) and a couple of sheets of plexi. If your wanting to build your own it can be cheaper just talk it up with everyone that is willing to listen and you may get some good deals.
All my prices are in Canadian dollars.

i have used plexi glass to create a turtle tank and it worked well, aslong as the there is not alot of water, putting pressure on the plexi you should be ok

It's workin out now!! My friend gave me a 55... That will do for the moment.. My fish are much happier in it.. He had around 40 or 50 small african's in it.. Which I also inherited!! Happy about that now... I especially like the Venustus!!

I transfered them to my 40... I am still lookin for anything 100 and up... But now am more patient since waiting for somethin to come like you guys said... WORKED!! Thanks again....

good luck, with your tank, i am new to this site. I to want to build my own tank and all the info i have read sugests that cell-cast acrylic is the best material to use.
