Acrylic help- am I going crazing?

I have never owned any acrylic tanks yet and I am looking at a 500 and just wondering to myself if this is what is called crazing or if this looks safe or if it will hold water etc.


Obviously you can only tell so much from photos, and I am not holding anyone accountable, but would like to learn a bit if possible.

So the areas that look kind of bubbled are braces in all the corners I would estimate roughly 3/4”. To me personally it looks quite sturdy, but I don’t understand exactly what I am looking at when it comes to acrylic. The price is right and it would work for a plan I have to do my next upgrade.

No, that does not look like crazing to me. That looks like bubbles in the weld when the solvent was applied.

Crazing looks more like this:

From the pics it looks like there’s two seems. It looks like the bubbled seems are within reinforcing rods while the actual seems don’t look that bad. Not great, but not bad. Tip and pour weldon 40 would be a good idea if the price is right. I would add 1-2 centre braces as well on the top.
