acrylic help

the other day i found an acrylic tank on the side walk its pretty scratched up on the front and sides ima flip it around and just use it that way but anyways can i just spray paint the back with out messing up the acrylic any more than it is already oh its a 20 gall long i think

If you spray paint it, the paint may not come off, but you still haven't lost anything. I say go for it.

the paint not coming off isn't a problem since its scratch beyond belief i was just worried it might melt it or something like that

Nope, just get some Krylon Fusion. It will stick to the acrylic a lot better than other spray paints.

oh ok i was just going to use regular rustolium i will get some later this week i hope it turns out better than it is now

Just do lots of thin coats and it will turn out just fine.

spray paint should be fine. just make sure you cover the rest of the tank for overspray. and also you may need to do some polish to the tank if you want it real nice. use novus.
