i just picked up 2 80 gallon tall acrylic tanks. both look pretty new. of course i get both about 1/2 way filled and they leak. no cracks that i can see. can i just clean and seal the tank my self? what is the best thing to reseal an acrylic tank? i wanna do this 1 time and 1 time only. most stuff ive found say aquarium sealant for tanks up to 20 gallons. any help would be aappretiated!

You can't use standard aquarium sealant that is a silicone since it won't bond to acrylic. You'll need Weld-On from Ridoutplastics.com. Probably a water-thin sealer that can wick into an already formed seam. Look for Weld-On 3 or 4. These should do the trick for you.

i have tons of acrylics from over the years. i could fix em all with this stuff hopefully. another idea i had was pondliner or any of the sealers used on diy tanks. what would stop me from [ainting a small strip around all the seams? there not display tanks just for breeding. anything to make it water tight
