I am about to start the buffing job of my 180g acrylic and I am looking to order this Novus acrylic polishing compound. I plan on using ~1500-3000 sand paper, then maybe some rubbing compound, and then as a final step the Novus. From what I have found it looks like the #2 is the final polishing step.
Questions:
a.) Is this correct? Do I need to get the #1 also or is the #2 gonna be good enough?
b.) How much Novus do I need to order? I see they sell it in 2oz, 8oz, and 64oz bottles. Should I just buy 1 bottle at 8oz, use it, and then reevaluate any further amount?
Any other advice for someone who's never done acrylic work before?
