hey everyone. in the planning stages of my first foray into building an acrylic tank. been doing a lot of research but had a couple questions covering the finer details.
plan is for a 48"Lx26"Wx38"H peninsula style rectangle roughly 200 gallons.
plan to use 1" thick acrylic for all the panels. is this overkill for the sides, top, and bottom? can i go with 3/4"? ive ordered all 1" just to safe at this point.
i got a new 16" saw and set of guides but wanted some input on best blade type to use on thick acrylic. i was gonna go with this one:

got a pint of weld-on 40 ordered. will that be enough?
would appreciate any input or advice. thanks all.
