acrylic tank leaking from seam can it be repaired??? only a few drips:(:(silicon?

I tried that on an acrylic sump and it did not work. silicone does not adhear to acrylic very well. how big is the tank? I hate to say it but you will probably have to take down the tank. Turn the seam up and recement/clamp.

silicone will work, but it dosnt last long on acrylic, 3 years max.

Best bet is to purchase some acrylic cement, and put it into the seams.

How long did your silicone last on your acrylic?

where can i get the cement i am very anxious to get this thing going do i need to order it or maybe a hobby shop?
thanks for the replies guys

if leak is at the bottom you can just use GOOP. You can get them from wallmart or any hardware. It is tougher to use goop if leak is on the sides it is very runny you will have to turn the tank on its sides.
