Acrylic Tank Problem....

What in the world can I get rid of hard water stains with?
Tank is acrylic. Water stains are on top, so the lights don't
do such a great job.

Please don't tell me that I just need brighter bulbs??

I've used muriatic acid many times on powerheads and glass tanks. Hopefully someone here kniws if its safe for acrylic because im not sure. Its easy to find though, go to a pool supply store.
