I need a little advice on repairing my acrylic river tank. This is my first acrylic build and I didn't do a good job with one of the seams I guess. About 8 months after finishing one of the seams started to separate. The tank is 48"Lx24"Wx19"H but water height is only 12" on one side and 8" on the other. The acrylic is 1/4" thick. The original seams were welded with Weld on #4. My thought is to repair with Weld on #4 to hold in place and then do the tilt and pour with #40 as is advised on several other threads here. The split seam is about 13" from the top down. Several questions:
1. Is this a good plan on how to repair?
2. What do I need to do to prepare the split seam for #4?
3. Do I need to sand the acrylic to prep for #40?
4. How do I know how much #40 I will need? I plan on doing the other seams while I'm at it.
5. Am I missing anything?
