I just picked up a good deal on an acrylic tank locally. The one caveat is that it was a saltwater tank and those saltwater guys love to drill holes..:screwy:
I have some holes in the floor of the tank and I dont want to use bulkheads, as I want to permanently seal these holes. My question is I'm going to put acrylic patches on these holes, tank its approx 260 gals . What thickness patch should I use? or is there a better way .....? guys with experience in acrylic repair would like your insight..?
Tank looks like 3/4 acrylic , bottom appears to be 1/2"? top is 3/4 "?

ok no replies to this , so how about this question which weld on product would you use for this repair Weldon #4 or # 16 or the two part # 40 ?

1/2 inch patches that cover well. Weld on 40

You don't want to use a sump on that size tank? What about hard plumbing in canister filters?
