acrylic tank temps

is it my tank or does everyones acrylic tank read on the thermometer less than it really is. i have two in the tank (digital) and they read 77.4 and 78.1 and i test with a third outside digital probe and it reads 82.2. now my glass tank reads correctly on all three of these methods. both the glass and the acrylic feel the same temps. am i going crazy?

Sounds like differences between the different pieces of equipment. Are you using the same exact thermometers on the glass as you did on the acrylic?

yes. and i put two in there, the digital kind. but when i try to take the temp from an outside source ( a digital thermometer for water) it reads different than the probes that are in there. i know a acrylic tank holds heat better.
