I live in a second story apartment, and was thinking about upgrading my 55 when my GT gets bigger. I can only do a 75, or maybe a 90 because of the stand I have. I was interested in the acrylic because it's so hard to carry the glass ones up the stairs. Also, it would decrease the weight issue. Are acrylic tanks any good, and would they be okay for SA/CA cichlids?

WHOA! I knew that acrylic tanks were more expensive, but until now I never knew HOW expensive. A glass 75 goes for maybe $250. An acrylic 75 goes for like $600!

$= and thats why I have glass lol... My 90 wasn't too bad to move, only took 2 ppl, however moving a 220 out of the sellers basement... yeah acyrlic isn't a bad option.

Try to find a used one. Paid $400 for my 160 with everything but a stand. Problem with used acrylics is scratches; mine was in good shape though.
