I'm thinking about buying an 8ft x 3ft x 4ft (l x w x h) acrylic tank, however the sides are only 15mm thick (0.6"), is this going to be enough? If not is 15mm acrylic thick enough for an 8 x 4 x 3? Cheers

At 4ft height I heard it should be at like 1"-1 1/4" or so

I agree with the others that would be too thin for that height. My acrylic 240g is 30" H and with the 1/2" thickness I have it bows about 1". Normal for a 1/2" panel that tall but still, 48" is a lot taller and .6" is pretty much the same as 1/2" give or take. I would want much thicker than that. If you look at some of the acrylic thickness calculators online they all call for 1.5" -1.750" for a tank that size.
