acrylic to glass

tomrow i am going to hd to get some stuff including acrylic or glass which ever is a better deal since its only for inside a sump. any way. from what i have seen to attach glass to acrylic i cut the acrylic a tad bit too small then i just glob silicone all over the joint between glass and acrylic and hope it stays
right?? and i can just use a jig saw to cut it?

can we get a sticky about what silicones are good for fish???? please??

o yea can i see your glass to acrylic joints?

That's about it.

Tape or clamp the pieces in place till silicone cures.

Jigsaw is fine, just don't go to fast or it willl melt it. If you get good you can score and snap it like glass.

A quick search on here will tell you GE Silicone I & II door & window (no BioSeal), GE 1200, Rtv 108, IS808.

Clean surfaces with vinegar or alcohol in a well ventilated (outside) area.
