whats is the up and down of the material mentioned?
:feedback: thanks in advance

yes i am a noobie in this forum, but not to forum:)
i did searched but no where to be found about up and down of mentioned material..well i know glass break but thats about it
could you help this noob pointed out to one im looking for, i might have missed it, your help greatly appreciated

I have a 140 Gallon Tru Vu Acrylic. and i love it. Yeah it scratches easier than glass. But i feel much more confident in the tank not having leak issues. Also it is WAY lighter when I have to move it. My wife is able to get one side and move it with me. lol :)

now thats a feedback thank you!!
how bout the viewing clarity, and how long you own it for?

if treated right (cleaning and what not) acrylic tanks are what i would suggest

all aquarium i had in the past are glass made but never the size im currently look for..
sounds like when you go bigger acrylic is way to go?

Acrylic scratches easier that glass, but acrylic doesn't have a tint to it.

Either one will do just fine, it is all about preference.

Glass weighs substantially more making it harder to move around, but acrylic does scratch a lot easier. Its also more expensive than a glass tank. They need full bottom support, not just the edges of the tank. Acrylic tanks are great if you can find one in good shape and have the money for it.

Acrylic aquariums have several advantages over the glass as special stitching makes them less likely to leak. They are stronger and more flexible than glass making them more likely to withstand earthquakes and children. Scratches can be removed or alleviated. They can be designed in many forms and have rounded corners. They are more isolated, which requires less energy to maintain temperatures.
