Acrylic vs PvC divider?

I need to make a quick cheap divider for my 75 I have a breeding pair of JD's and the divider needs to be able to stop fry I need one half to grow out Delhezi bichirs
so what does everyone think for the pvc I would use window screen both options would cost under 25$ but pvc is still cheaper

i use this, Cut/Break it into size, place the crate at an angle, use some string attached to center brace and place a rock so it cannot be moved.

As stated above, use an egg crate, but also zip tie this screen mesh over it so the fry can't get through. This worked for me when I had african cichlid fry
